BY LIQUID CHANNEL TECHNOLOGY

The Liquid Cold-plate (LCP) business unit offers aluminium liquid cold-plate solutions, ranging from small components for cooling LEDs or lasers to large solutions for cooling insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs).

Our in-house design team is responsible for developing high-performance cold-plates, which are optimised through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and subjected to rigorous qualification tests in our laboratory.

The plates are manufactured in our in-house CNC department and assembled using Vacuum Brazing and Friction Stir Welding (FSW) processes.

Our in-house vacuum furnaces and FSW expertise enable us to provide prototypes quickly.

We offer a range of plates, each designed to meet specific thermal performance requirements.

AVAILABLE RANGE

FIVE CATEGORIES BASED ON INTERNAL HEAT EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGY

CT-HP

COOLTECH’s special geometry, developed to enhance thermal performance while maintaining a pressure drop comparable to other technologies on the market.

CT-PF

Technology based on an internal pin fin structure. Depending on the initial technical specifications, the pins can have different shapes, such as cylindrical or rhombic.

CT-NC

An internal structure with narrow channels that can be straight or corrugated. Channels are generally less than 4 mm wide.

CT-FF

Internal structure based on folded fin technology, offering an optimal balance of performance and cost.

CT-MC

Approach featuring milled channels, making it well-suited for scenarios where top performance isn’t a primary concern. Channels are over 10 mm wide.
